The Season Is Upon Us...

'Tis the Season to Paint Stucco!... Fa-la La-la-Laaaaaa..... La-la - La-la!

June, July, August, and September are the months to remember ... that your time is limited to take care of those exterior projects that you've been needing to get done.

To properly paint an exterior project in Manitoba, we ALL need to respect ambient and surface temperatures, humidity/moisture, and wind speed.

Too cold during the application (including the overnight lows), and your project will crack and lift and longevity will be compromised;

Too hot during the application (ambient temperatures and the temperature of the product being coated), and your coating will dry before it has time to properly bond, resulting in lifting and cracking;

Still too moist from recent precipitation and your paint will lift and bubble as moisture pushes out from the substrate

Too windy, and painted surfaces dry prior to the applied product below and your surfaces will peel;

So when do we really find the sweet spot in time to get these projects done?... Well, that's where an experienced applicator carries a lot of weight...with quality tooling, proper equipment and know how, the right product for the application, and the experience to apply products efficiently and timely using the best of the time available.

Yes - there is always satisfaction with a DIY project done well, but if you'd rather spend your money on experience vs product, spend your time on relaxation vs frustration, call in a painting company - better yet call in a number of them!..

It's important to compare pricing and ensure a quality work-scope: check references, are they in good standing with the BBB?, do they have Manitoba WCB coverage? are they licensed and do they carry liability insurance (ask then to prove it), are they reputable with their suppliers? are they a company in good standing in their community? (Members of Chamber of Commerce / BNI/ or known volunteer efforts within the community as examples to ensure they are not fly-by-night contractors).

Get a good feeling about who you you are going to hire; estimates are always free with reputable companies. It's free to talk, so don't stop shopping until we do!...
